Bladensburg Dueling Grounds
38th Ave.
Colmar Manor, MD 20722
Colmar Manor, MD 20722
This area is now a park, but when dueling was outlawed in the district limits, it became a spot where men could defend their honor. Commodore Stephen Decatur was killed here in 1820, and his apparition has been spotted ever since, as well as other shadowy figures.
