National Museum of Civil War Medicine
Frederick, MD 21705
At this museum, there are objects known to move on their own or mysteriously disappear, along with some eerie sounds. Some say they've heard the distinct sound of a cat scratching on a sratching post come from the executive director's office.

We went to the museum for a regular tour, so ghosts weren’t on our mind. In fact, we didn’t know the place was haunted until later that day when the tour guide mentioned it. I smelled something strange like burnt perfume. My husband couldn’t smell it. Also, I had just had an uneasy feeling.

Was there on a rainy, quiet day during the week with my kid, then 12. We were the only people walking through. 1) I smelled perfume and neither of us wear perfume and 2) my kid and I both heard children laughing and running, and a dog barking, when we were in the last section of the museum on our way out to the lobby. I assumed that there were children and a dog (( in )) the lobby, but we came out, it was empty except for the cashier.
