Dating back to 1730, stories say this home is haunted by two families. One is the Hammonds, who resided here in the 1840s, and the Downins who lived at the home during the Civil War-era. Haunting reports include voices, footsteps and lights that turn off by themselves. Some say the Downin children are to blame for a comcob doll that moves around, and the reason why cameras tend to not work properly in the residence.
I was 11 year old and I was in middle or high school and we went inside that hager house and as sson we went in we heard footsteps comming down the stairs an then we heard someone running down the stairs like in full speed so we left for a few mintues. We went back in an look around and that when me and couple of my friends saw a dark shadow peaking around the croner at house and so we saw it.it hurry up and turn again, when me and my friend check it out it was gone.Posted 5/4/21
